Job Description:

We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Truck Driver to join our team in Malta. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for safely operating commercial trucks to transport goods and materials to designated locations. Your attention to detail, adherence to traffic laws, and commitment to timely deliveries will contribute to the efficiency and success of our logistics operations.

Responsibilities:

• Safely operate a variety of commercial trucks, including box trucks, flatbeds, or refrigerated trucks, to transport goods and materials.
• Follow planned routes and schedules to ensure timely delivery of shipments to customers or designated locations.
• Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securement of goods.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck and cargo to ensure roadworthiness and compliance with safety standards.
• Adhere to all traffic laws, regulations, and company policies while driving and operating the truck.
• Plan and optimize delivery routes to maximize efficiency and minimize fuel consumption and travel time.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents or delays encountered.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse personnel, and customers to coordinate delivery schedules and address any concerns or inquiries.
• Assist with loading and unloading of goods at pickup and delivery locations, using appropriate equipment and following safety protocols.
• Report any mechanical issues, accidents, or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel immediately.
• Comply with all safety procedures and protocols to ensure the safe handling and transportation of goods.

Requirements:

• Valid Class C driving license with a clean driving record.
• Proven experience as a truck driver, preferably in commercial transportation.
• Familiarity with local traffic laws and regulations.
• Ability to operate and maneuver various types of commercial trucks.
• Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Physical fitness and ability to lift and handle heavy loads.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, if required.
• Familiarity with GPS navigation systems and electronic logging devices is a plus.
