Job Description:

We are currently seeking a reliable and hardworking Dishwasher to join our team in Malta. As a Dishwasher, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment by washing and sanitizing dishes, utensils, and other kitchen equipment. Your attention to detail and efficiency will contribute to the smooth operation of our food service establishment.

Responsibilities:

• Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, and cooking utensils using the dishwashing machine or by hand.
• Sort and stack clean dishes and utensils in designated storage areas.
• Ensure the cleanliness and sanitation of all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment before and after use.
• Assist with food preparation and setup by peeling, cutting, and portioning ingredients as needed.
• Empty trash containers regularly and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen and dishwashing area.
• Maintain and clean dishwashing equipment and report any malfunctions or issues to the supervisor.
• Follow proper safety and hygiene procedures, including the use of gloves and appropriate cleaning agents.
• Assist in receiving and storing deliveries of food and supplies.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff and communicate effectively to ensure smooth operation and timely service.
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including food handling and storage guidelines.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Dishwasher or in a similar role is preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and sanitation.
• Ability to work well within a team and follow instructions.
• Physical fitness and ability to stand for extended periods.
• Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required.
• Good communication skills in English.
