Job Description:

We are currently seeking friendly and attentive Waiters/Waitresses to join our team in Malta. As a Waiter/Waitress, you will play a crucial role in creating a positive dining experience for our guests. Your excellent customer service skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment will contribute to the success of our restaurant and the satisfaction of our patrons.

Responsibilities:

• Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner.
• Assist guests in selecting menu items and provide recommendations based on their preferences.
• Take food and beverage orders accurately and promptly.
• Enter orders into the POS system and ensure they are transmitted to the kitchen or bar in a timely manner.
• Serve food and beverages to guests, ensuring accuracy and proper presentation.
• Monitor guest satisfaction and promptly address any issues or concerns.
• Provide exceptional customer service by anticipating guest needs and responding promptly to requests.
• Ensure tables are properly set with clean linens, silverware, and glassware before guest seating.
• Assist in the preparation and setup of dining areas, including arranging tables and chairs.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining areas, including clearing tables and resetting them for the next guests.
• Collaborate effectively with the kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth and efficient service.
• Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately and process payments in accordance with established procedures.
• Follow all safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a clean and safe dining environment.
• Stay updated on menu items, specials, and promotions to provide accurate information to guests.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures, including those related to alcohol service and responsible serving practices.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Waiter/Waitress or in a similar role is preferred.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work well in a team and maintain a positive and friendly attitude.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of food and beverage menus, including wine and cocktail offerings.
• Familiarity with POS systems and basic computer skills.
• Physical fitness and ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Flexibility to work in shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required.
• Good command of English; knowledge of other languages is an advantage.
