Job Description:

We are currently seeking skilled and creative Chefs to join our team in Malta. As a Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and cooking of delicious and high-quality dishes in our kitchen. Your culinary expertise, attention to detail, and passion for creating exceptional dining experiences will contribute to the success of our restaurant and the satisfaction of our guests.


  • Plan and prepare a wide variety of menu items, ensuring the use of fresh and high-quality ingredients.
  • Oversee and participate in the cooking and presentation of dishes according to recipes and established standards.
  • Ensure that all food is prepared and cooked to the highest quality, taste, and presentation standards.
  • Monitor and control portion sizes and maintain consistency in taste and presentation.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen staff to develop and update menu items, taking into consideration seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
  • Train and supervise junior kitchen staff, providing guidance and support in their culinary development.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen environment, adhering to food safety and hygiene regulations.
  • Manage inventory and stock levels, including ordering ingredients and supplies as needed.
  • Monitor food costs and minimize waste through proper portion control and inventory management.
  • Adhere to kitchen schedules and ensure timely preparation and delivery of dishes.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and new cooking techniques, incorporating them into menu development.
  • Handle customer inquiries, concerns, and special requests, ensuring a positive dining experience.
  • Collaborate effectively with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth operation and guest satisfaction.
  • Perform other kitchen-related tasks as assigned by the management.


  • Previous experience as a Chef or in a similar role is required.
  • Culinary degree or relevant culinary certification is preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge of various cooking techniques, cuisines, and culinary trends.
  • Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.
  • Excellent culinary skills and ability to create delicious and visually appealing dishes.
  • Ability to manage and lead a team in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Flexibility to work in shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required.
  • Good command of English; knowledge of other languages is an advantage.
