Job Description:

We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Auto Mechanic to join our team in Malta. As an Auto Mechanic, you will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing various types of vehicles to ensure their optimal performance and reliability. Your expertise in automotive systems, strong technical knowledge, and attention to detail will contribute to the efficiency and customer satisfaction of our auto repair services.

Responsibilities:

• Inspect vehicles and perform diagnostic tests to identify mechanical issues.
• Diagnose and repair problems in automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, and electrical systems.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, filter replacements, and tire rotations.
• Replace or repair faulty parts, such as spark plugs, belts, hoses, and sensors.
• Utilize specialized tools and equipment to perform repairs and adjustments.
• Follow repair manuals, technical specifications, and standard operating procedures to ensure accurate and efficient repairs.
• Test repaired vehicles to verify proper functioning and performance.
• Document all repairs, maintenance activities, and parts used in detailed service reports.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring the proper storage and maintenance of tools and equipment.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries and explaining repair options and costs.
• Keep up-to-date with advancements in automotive technology and industry standards.
• Collaborate effectively with other mechanics and team members to share knowledge and support efficient workflow.
• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as an Auto Mechanic or in a similar role.
• Strong technical knowledge of automotive systems and components.
• Familiarity with diagnostic tools and equipment used in auto repair.
• Proficiency in interpreting repair manuals, technical drawings, and schematics.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in diagnosing and repairing vehicles.
• Physical fitness and ability to lift heavy equipment and parts.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Flexibility to work in shifts and overtime as needed.
• Good command of English; knowledge of other languages is an advantage.
