Job Description:

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Gas Truck Driver to join our team in Malta. As a Gas Truck Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting and delivering gas cylinders to various locations. Your attention to detail and adherence to safety regulations will contribute to the efficient and secure distribution of gas to our clients.

Responsibilities:

• Safely operate a gas truck to transport and deliver gas cylinders to designated locations.
• Follow planned routes and schedules to ensure timely and efficient delivery of gas cylinders.
• Load and unload gas cylinders, adhering to proper handling and safety protocols.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the gas truck and gas cylinders to ensure roadworthiness and compliance with safety standards.
• Monitor and maintain the condition of gas cylinders during transport, including securing them properly to prevent damage or leaks.
• Adhere to all traffic laws, regulations, and company policies while driving and operating the gas truck.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents or delays encountered.
• Communicate effectively with customers, providing exceptional customer service during deliveries and addressing any concerns or inquiries.
• Report any mechanical issues, accidents, or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel immediately.
• Comply with all safety procedures and protocols to ensure the safe handling and transportation of gas cylinders.

Requirements:

• Valid Class C driving license with a clean driving record.
• Proven experience as a truck driver, preferably in gas or hazardous materials transportation.
• Knowledge of gas cylinder handling and safety procedures.
• Familiarity with local traffic laws and regulations.
• Ability to read and understand delivery instructions, manifests, and safety data sheets.
• Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Physical fitness and ability to lift and handle heavy gas cylinders.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, if required.
• Hazardous Materials Endorsement (HME) and ADR certification is a plus.
