Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and knowledgeable IT Technician to join our team in Malta. As an IT Technician, you will be responsible for providing technical support, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and ensuring the smooth operation of our company’s IT systems. Your expertise in computer hardware, software, and networking will contribute to maintaining an efficient and secure IT infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support to end-users, resolving hardware, software, and network issues in a timely manner.
• Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, and peripherals.
• Perform troubleshooting and repairs on computers, printers, and other IT equipment.
• Set up and maintain user accounts, email accounts, and security access rights.
• Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of networking equipment and systems.
• Ensure data backups and disaster recovery procedures are implemented and regularly tested.
• Conduct routine maintenance tasks, such as software updates, system optimization, and virus/malware removal.
• Collaborate with team members and vendors to identify and implement IT solutions to meet business needs.
• Provide training and support to users on new technologies and software applications.
• Keep accurate records of all support activities, including incidents, resolutions, and equipment inventory.
• Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in technology to provide proactive recommendations for system improvements.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as an IT Technician or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, networking, and operating systems.
• Familiarity with common office productivity applications and software troubleshooting.
• Proficient in diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues.
• Basic understanding of networking concepts and protocols.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing time effectively to meet deadlines.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional) are a plus.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and industry advancements.
