Job Description:

We are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Vulcanizer to join our team in Malta. As a Vulcanizer, you will play a critical role in repairing and maintaining tires for various vehicles. Your expertise in tire repair techniques, attention to detail, and commitment to quality will ensure the safety and reliability of our customers’ vehicles.

Responsibilities:

• Inspect tires for damage, wear, and punctures to assess repair needs.
• Repair and replace damaged or worn tires using appropriate tools and techniques.
• Perform tire mounting, balancing, and rotation to ensure even tread wear.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot tire-related issues, such as uneven wear patterns or vibration.
• Ensure proper tire inflation and adjust tire pressure as needed.
• Conduct wheel alignments and adjustments to enhance vehicle performance and tire longevity.
• Use vulcanizing equipment and materials to repair tire punctures and sidewall damage.
• Install and balance new tires according to manufacturer specifications.
• Inspect tire treads and recommend tire replacements when necessary.
• Keep accurate records of tire repairs, replacements, and customer information.
• Adhere to safety procedures and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including tire storage and equipment.
• Assist customers in selecting appropriate tires based on their vehicle and driving needs.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and explaining tire repair options.
• Stay updated on industry trends, new tire models, and advancements in tire repair techniques.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Vulcanizer or in a similar role is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of tire repair techniques and equipment.
• Familiarity with various types of tires for different vehicles, including cars, trucks, and motorcycles.
• Proficiency in using vulcanizing equipment and materials.
• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in tire repairs and replacements.
• Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
• Physical fitness and ability to lift heavy tires and equipment.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Flexibility to work in shifts, including evenings and weekends.
• Good command of English; knowledge of other languages is an advantage.
