Job Description:

We are currently seeking a skilled and passionate Gardener to join our team in Malta. As a Gardener, you will be responsible for maintaining and caring for gardens, parks, and outdoor spaces. Your expertise in plant care, landscaping, and attention to detail will contribute to creating beautiful and well-maintained landscapes that enhance the overall appearance of our properties.

Responsibilities:

• Perform various gardening tasks, including planting, watering, pruning, and fertilizing plants, flowers, trees, and shrubs.
• Maintain and care for lawns, ensuring they are properly mowed, edged, and free of weeds.
• Monitor and control pests and diseases in plants, applying appropriate treatments or recommending solutions when necessary.
• Perform regular maintenance tasks such as raking leaves, removing debris, and cleaning garden areas.
• Assist in designing and implementing landscape plans, including the selection and placement of plants, flowers, and decorative elements.
• Install and maintain irrigation systems to ensure proper watering of plants.
• Operate and maintain gardening equipment, such as lawn mowers, trimmers, and power tools, ensuring they are in good working condition.
• Collaborate with the gardening team and communicate effectively to coordinate tasks and ensure efficient use of resources.
• Follow safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and maintain a safe working environment.
• Keep updated with current trends and best practices in gardening and landscaping.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Gardener or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of plants, flowers, trees, and shrubs, including their care and maintenance requirements.
• Familiarity with landscaping principles and techniques.
• Ability to operate and maintain gardening equipment.
• Basic understanding of irrigation systems and their installation and maintenance.
• Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labor in various weather conditions.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
• Flexibility to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, if required.
