Job Description:

We are currently seeking dedicated and hardworking Kitchen Helpers to join our team in Malta. As a Kitchen Helper, you will provide essential support to our kitchen staff in preparing and serving meals. Your assistance with food preparation, cleaning, and organization will contribute to the smooth operation of our kitchen and the delivery of high-quality dishes to our customers.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the kitchen staff in food preparation tasks, such as washing, peeling, and chopping ingredients.
• Measure and weigh ingredients accurately according to recipes and portion requirements.
• Assist in the cooking and assembly of food items, following established recipes and guidelines.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen area, including cleaning workstations, equipment, and utensils.
• Collect and dispose of garbage and food waste in accordance with sanitation standards.
• Help with the set-up and organization of kitchen stations and ingredient storage areas.
• Ensure the availability of clean and properly sanitized kitchen utensils and equipment.
• Assist in receiving and stocking kitchen supplies and ingredients.
• Collaborate effectively with the kitchen staff and communicate any issues or concerns to supervisors.
• Follow proper food safety and hygiene procedures to prevent contamination and ensure food quality.
• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Kitchen Helper or in a similar role is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment.
• Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labor and stand for extended periods.
• Good organizational skills and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards.
• Flexibility to work in shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required.
• Basic math and measurement skills for ingredient preparation.
• Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
• Basic command of English; knowledge of other languages is an advantage.
